Entry Visa to Egypt:
Non-Egyptians visiting Egypt are required to have a valid passport for at least 6 months from arrival date. They must obtain an entry visa at our Airports (for most nationalities) or from Egyptian embassies or an online e-Visa (For eligible countries), and we recommend the airport option if available for your nationality and it costs $25.

5. Limousines & Car Rental: Available at Cairo Int’l Airport, there are multiple services that you can choose from.

Currency:
Egyptian currency is known as the Egyptian pound (EGP) or (LE) & is divided into 100 piasters. Banknotes come in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 & 200 pounds.

It’s possible to exchange money at Cairo Int’l Airport, there is a bank, several ATMs & Exchange office. Exchange rate is governed by the Central Bank, so the difference between banks / offices won’t exceed 10 Piasters (0.1 EGP). Banks can be found throughout the city & ATMs are in abundance. Credit cards are accepted by most businesses.

Phone SIM:
We have 4 mobile networks: Vodafone, e&, Orange, and WE. The best network is WE, then Vodafone (Better customer service), for detailed info check Open Signal Report. All companies have booths at Cairo Airport, so if you need a SIM, we recommend that you get it at the airport upon arrival.

Weather & Activities Preparations:
The weather during the festival is sunny & a bit hot in the morning in all cities (30°C), but in cities like Matrouh & Siwa, it could be slightly cold at night (19°C), so consider the suitable cloths. Also, bring sunglasses, scarf, sunscreen, swimsuit, cap/hat, sea shoes, shoes that suits hiking.
