Non-Egyptians arriving in Egypt are required to have a valid passport. They must obtain an entry visa from Egyptian embassies abroad or an online e-Visa (For eligible countries), also it’s possible for most visitors to obtain an entry visa at our Airports.

Egyptian currency is known as the Egyptian pound (EGP) or (LE) & is divided into 100 piasters. Banknotes come in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 & 200 pounds.
It’s possible to exchange money at Cairo Int’l Airport, there is a bank, several ATMs & Exchange office. Exchange rate is governed by the Central Bank, so the difference between banks / offices won’t exceed 10 Piasters (0.1 EGP). Banks can be found throughout the city & ATMs are in abundance. Credit cards are accepted by most businesses.
